How to Get Pregnant

The Turkey Baster method is a method which has been tried by many as a form of home insemination to get pregnant fast. If you are a woman who wants to try this method, here are the steps:

Timing

Perfect timing is important for you to conceive. First know your ovulation days. You can do this by keeping track of your menstrual period. Mark the first day of your menstruation as Day 1 and count up to Day 14. Day 14 is usually your ovulation period. You can also predict your ovulation day using basal body temperature monitoring, cervical mucus monitoring and ovulation kits.

Once you have determined your ovulation, perform the Turkey baster method during your ovulation day to increase your chances of conception.

Prepare the materials

Basically you will need a needleless syringe or oral medicine syringe and a collection cup, baggy or condom. Depending on your preference, you may need pure saline and mild soap.

Collection

Your partner should take the container or condom and ejaculate on it. If the semen is a little thick, you may mix it with a little saline to dissolve it. Next is to suck the semen using your syringe. Draw back on the syringe once with nothing but air, then push the air out again. Then draw back on the syringe again, but this time have the end of it in the semen -- the vacuum created by pulling back on the stopper will suck the semen into the syringe. Try to tap out any air bubbles since you don't want to inject air into your vagina. You can do this by slowly rotating the syringe until the opening is facing up. Tap the air bubbles to the top and then push the plunger in on the catheter just a small amount -- enough to get rid of air w/o squirting semen out.

Positioning

You should be in a position where you can either stay comfortably for a half hour or can get into the position w/ minimal movement. Ideal is to either have hips raised or to lie on your side making sure your pelvis is canted.

Next, slowly glide the syringe, or catheter, into the vagina until it is close to the cervix -- but do not try to get it into the cervix and do this gently. Slowly inject sperm. If you do it too fast, it can squirt out of the vagina or at least spray away from the cervix.

You should have an orgasm. Some would suggest that using a vibrator for clitoral stimulation produces a bigger, more powerful orgasm. Use whatever method works best for you. The orgasm helps the cervix dip into the vaginal pool and suck up sperm and it helps get more sperm up there, and may speed sperm travel.
