Follow the guidelines of your physician to gain the proper amount of weight to avoid pregnancy heartburn. Loose clothing all around your stomach can also help alleviate any discomfort. Never smoke during pregnancy; besides a number of health risks, smoking boosts the acid in your stomach. Try to avoid bending at your waist and finally, purchase an ant-acid with magnesium or calcium; avoid brands that contain aluminum, aspirin or high levels of sodium.
